A+O Announce a Superior Private Collection to be Offered On-Site


A+O have been priviledged with the sale of a private collection of Contemporary Art and interior furnishings of superior quality. The sale will take place on-site in Newton on December 13 and will be on view only for the two days preceeding the sale. The collection includes artwork by Judy Millar, Dale Frank, as well as several very important paintings by Chris Heaphy, among others. Furniture includes Charles and Ray Eames, Biedermiar, Castiglioni and others. Further details to come soon...

Real Art Road Show Book Launch











Last night ART+OBJECT hosted Fiona Campbell's Real Art Road Show book launch at their gallery. A good growd of mostly artists, writers and curators turned up to hear both Fiona and Hamish Keith talk. The book is an impressive volume and a wonderful testament to one of the most original and generous art collection concepts in the country. Be sure to catch the buses at a town near you. Meanwhile the book is now available at all good book stores with proceeds going to keeping the buses on the roads and in schools.

Hamish Coney named Finalist in 2009 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

On Thursday 13th August, at a sparkling cocktail event at the Auckland Art Gallery, 16 of New Zealand’s most successful entrepreneurs were announced as finalists in the New Zealand’s Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards, included among them was Hamish Coney, Managing Director of ART+OBJECT. The finalists represent a diverse range of industries across New Zealand, from baby hammocks to ice cream manufacturers. Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards Director Jon Hooper said this year's finalists are people who have held fast to their dreams despite challenging economic times: "To become a finalist in these Awards, entrepreneurs must display leadership, creativity, business acumen, perseverance, and an unflinching determination to succeed. This year’s finalists have shown they have all of that and more. The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards recognises and celebrates these people, their substantial achievements, and their contribution to our society and to our economy.” Category winners will be announced on Friday 11 September, and New Zealand’s 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year will be announced at an award banquet on Thursday 22 October.
